IN08 Doves Of Peace

The dove appears in many mythologies as a feminine symbol of soul, wisdom, rebirth and harmony. At sacred springs
images of doves in the form of stone figures  were offered to the Celtic deities attributed to healing who  presided over the shrines.

Doves were believed to have oracle powers, perhaps on
account of their distinctive call.

In classical iconography and mythology, doves were the attributes of Venus, Goddess of Love.

Both the dove and the olive branch originally meant “the peace of the Goddess,” as with many other pagan beliefs and traditions the symbols was later Christianized.
