AWK05 Breath Of The Beloved

Breath Of The Beloved project heralded another time of upheaval where all kinds of stressful worldly distractions were riseing up and I needed to balance that energy with working in my sacred space. The 7 Awakening paintings were created at a time when I was living alone for the first time in my life, so the art came from that isolation and when painting often carried on through the night, when the energy directed me to.With this intensity its not uncommon for lots of energy activity to occur, such as kettles throwing themselves off shelves and brushes and pens to disappear and reappearing. I found the need to create a shrine to be placed on the work after finishing work each evening, Though would be woken at odd hours and drawn to return to the work to complete a section. The title came from the need of human breath to adhere the gold leaf to the star.
